This 4 km stretch of road is among the most famous tourist spots in Mumbai. It was developed between 1905 and 1930 by reclaiming land from the sea. The slew of buildings around this has followed the art deco style of architecture, which was seen as progressive move away from the traditional gothic and Indo-sarcenic styles. The curved sea-front, is often referred to as the Queen�s necklace, when its lit up at night.
