T H E L A R G E R  P E R S P E C T I V E

This highway section is part of the ongoing project for a 4 lane, all weather highway between Srinagar and Jammu. At an altitude of nearly 1500 feet, the road has to snake in-between the mountain ranges while keeping smooth curves in order to maintain high traffic speeds. The shadows in the picture highlight where the mountain face has been carved out for the highway.
