Danushkodi, Rameswaram
The town of danushkodi is an abandoned town at the south eastern tip of Tamil Nadu. In 2016 the highways department buit this road from the town of Rameshwaram to Danushkodi and 4.5 km beyond into the sea to a view point called Arichamunai. For this 4.5 kms, 2 lane road, there is simply ocean on either side. From here the nearest point in Sri Lanka is just 25 km away.
